I think that this feedback was really positive and really inspired us to achieve a better project. We came out of the crit feeling really postive. We found that people that wouldn’t even useually like that sort of thing found it engaing and fun to listen to. I think that there are alot of things still to improve on but at least we know we are still on the right track.  I think that the things to work on are only little things and I think that it will be really achieveable. We have alot of hard work ahead of us after the crit but I think that are end target is really acheivable. Some of the feedback was obivously humours as well which made as all laugh and cheer up a bit after a couple of stressful weeks.

    Feedback From Crit 1

You have a very good idea and spoke generally about what you will include in you 10 minutes segments but do you know any specifics?

Probably is a good idea but not well presented

Radios for children, bug themed age 3-6 good creative centre keep it lively maybe test it in a school.

What are the examples of the actual content?
How will its presenters be bugs?

Consider what you might do if radio 4 wont air it.

Very different idea – great- How will it be different to what has already been done.

The fact that you are doing broadcast based is already a difference. You need to get good characters to actually pull it off, good personalities. Needs good presenters. The idea is different.

Well researched, well planned, cute but not my cup of tea.

How will you get it on BBC radio 4? Seem passionate about your work.

Budget? Timescale? What other work have you looked at apart from CBeebies?

Good idea but: How will you convince young people to listen to radio? Research: ‘ Go For it’ BBC radio 4 Sunday evenings. Waffly presentation. Never have stuff playing in the background.

I think that this feedback we have had from the first crit has been very interesting in helping us develop the ideas for our show futher. We have to look at if kids will actually listen to radio or not. Fortunatly I have found an article that says that they do which can be seen in my workbook.  I also think some of the feedback was not particularly helpful. We are told that our project is different, And we are asked how it will be different to what has already been done, thr truth is that nothing like this has really ever been done before which I think is a huge bonus for us because it means we are reaching a totally new market and people want things that are reaching this kind of market. At this point we don’t really have much example of the content that we would put in the show because it is still in the development stages.
