News
I am writing the news for our final project, but I need to put the sources down so people know where I got the news from.
All my news headlines come from the BBC website, however I also looked at the times website online to help me determine which headlines to put into the section.

I adpated headlines from these four pages.
Our headlines read like this:

Here are today’s headlines, I’m James McGregor
Ministers are to cut 850,000 DNA profiles from a national database today after a court ruled that innocent people must be removed.
The database which currently holds 4.5million people will have those who have been released or acquitted after between 6 and 12 years removed.
Opposition parties have said that the Government are “giving as little as possible” in response to the judgement.
Pakistan has bombed suspect Taleban spots this morning as the fighting in the Swat Valley region of the country intensifies.
Civilians continue to flee the area as the curfew that stopped them leaving the area was lifted
Barclays Bank has reported a 15 % rise in profits at the beginning of this year despite the financial crisis.
The head of Barclays John Varley said the profit reflected “the continued benefit of diversification” including the purchase of an American bank Lehman Brothers last year.
Science sats taken by those students in year 6 are to be scrapped it was announced today.
The exams will be replaced by teacher assessments and national sampling. Ministers are working on the recommendations from a report on assessments being published on Thursday.
Travel
I then wrote the travel, I found it hard to do this because in a normal situation like this they would have a series of screens in the studio that displayed the situation on the roads. So I decided to give James bullet points and let him put his own spin in on it. I got my travel information from:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/travelnews/local/national-map.shtml (website visited: 11:00 07/05/09)
The travel bullet points looked like this :
Travel
Pretty clear on the roads this morning although it is slow moving in some places
M25- earlier broken down vehicle at junction 10- Moved to hard shoulder- Still slow moving.
M5 Northbound at Junction 2 – slip roads closed because of broken down vehicle
M6 Southbound- Between junction 9 and 10 earlier accident now cleared.
A1M Both ways- Between junction 58 and 59- road works and narrow lanes causing slow moving traffic.
M4 both ways between Junction 28 and 30- repair work on the road making both directions slow.
We also decided that we only needed to do national news and travel so that it can appeal to anyone anywhere.
