Paperwork
Here is all the paperwork that I have written for the project, My comments are in green.
Treatment
Title: Kids Radio
Duration:1 hour
Resume: A breakfast time radio show for 4-6 year olds. To entertain and inform young children during the commute to school or nursery, and to be played by nurseries for fun as the children arrive. The show will include nursery rhymes, songs, stories and interactive features. It will be broadcast between 8 and 9 o’clock Monday through to Friday. An ideal outlet would be radio four as most cars have access to this station. An alternative would be radio seven as the show could follow its already existing children’s slot. The show will be split into ten minute slots so the audience can dip in and out without feeling out of the loop.

Recording days: 3 days
Budget: £150
The treatment I think was pretty accurate to what we did in our project. Some of the segments we did not included, like the your time section and the dance move of the day. But most of the others we included in what we did. The budget was not however accurate and we did got a little over on the budget. We probably spent about £200, we funded the project ourselves although we could have used some fundrasing for it. The majority of the budget was spent on hoodies so that we could go into the schools with almost like a uniform. We also spent money on train fairs going from Coventry to Hemel Hempstead to do some recording at MM and petrol going from Coventry to Gloustershire to record sounds from PH primary school.

Comments: We are likely to add another school to the schedule soon as we have another date. We are waiting for the school to report back to us on the date. We may also be adding in some recording days to the schedule in the studio as we may still have things to record after we have completed all the current recordings.
We did manage to stick to this schedule pretty much, although we did not finish the recording on the tuesday. On the Wednesday 6th May we recorded at GP primary school which we then added to the schedule and then on Thurday 7th May we also recorded some more for the show as we could not complete it all on Tuesday. We then had some feed back from our lectures and we decided that we needed to re-record somethings and also record some new things so that will be done on Tuesday 12th May. These should be added to the schedule. It took it longer to record then I thought it would. We obviously had to change things after we had the feedback both from Karen Arrand and Philip Draycott. This week by week schedule runs all the way up to the degree show to show that the work does not stop after we have handed in the project. I also wanted to put in the things about the degree show so that the things that are in about the degree show already before the deadline make sense. The schedule has been hard to stick to as we have had a lot to get throught and not a lot of time to do it in. I think that the last week is going to be the busiest as we have alot to do after the improvements that the lectures said to us over the last couple of days, however knowing that the project is 80% there going into the final week has worked to improve our confidence. Each week I have written down all the things that we have to do throughout that week, as you can see research goes all the way through the project because any research is crucial to the development of our programme and only research will make sure that our programme is up to a professional standard.
